Members Come First in New Work for First Source

Wednesday, February 10th, 2010

Building on strategies established last year, we hit the ground running with client First Source Federal Credit Union’s 2010 promotions, including new television spots and video blog entries. Fulfilling their mission of financial education, their first TV spot talks about why Credit Unions in general are better than banks, carefully avoiding mention of First Source in the copy.

In addition to TV, we’re making their Member experience even more personal with a new web feature: video blogs by Credit Union staff. First Source wants the video entries, which tie into TV spots, to continue conversations about topics of interest to the community. The first features Credit Union President and CEO Mike Parsons explaining in more detail what makes Credit Unions better. First Source’s growth is a strong indicator that many people are embracing his message. Check it out—you might be surprised.

When Quality Becomes Your Middle Name

Tuesday, January 26th, 2010
WhitesLumber_billboard

We work very hard to show what makes our clients special when planning their marketing strategies. They all have great stories to tell and it’s our job to make sure they are seen, heard, and remembered. This past week, one of our clients, White’s Lumber, came to us with a great story that we wanted to share with you.

White’s is a family-owned lumber and home improvement business that has been serving the communities in and around Watertown, NY since 1892. We were absolutely amazed by this rarity, and wanted to express it to the general public in their branding. After much research and collaboration with White’s, we arrived at their new tagline: “Quality Across the Board”. We understand the importance of establishing a good brand and expressing it in everything our clients do. White’s Lumber has embraced theirs wholeheartedly, always providing ‘quality across the board.’ How did we know we were conveying this message successfully? Check this out… (more…)

Having Problems at Home? Better Ask Jack.

Wednesday, May 27th, 2009

betteraskjack_header1Jack O’Trade, a mannequin dressed as a JAY-K Associate, was created by Romanelli to be JAY-K’s handyman, Jack of all trades and unofficial mascot from their wildly popular billboards. They’ve put Jack back in action with a great new job: answering people’s questions. He’s showing up again on billboards, print ads and social media sites like Facebook and Twitter, helping make consumers’ homes a better place to live in every way by answering any questions people have about home improvements or repairs, relationships, or even their kids’ homework—anything is fair game. Romanelli hopes to spark more interest in the community as a whole, and demonstrate JAY-K’s ability to answer whatever questions homeowners and contractors face. Their Associate experts are being represented by Jack, and he’s already growing in popularity online and in social media communities.

Anyone can submit questions, as many as they’d like, online at BetterAskJack.com, a landing page created by the agency just for this promotion. Jack responds with an individual email answer to each one. A number of them will even be published on JAY-K’s website, along with Jack’s answers. As an added bonus, JAY-K will be giving out free “BetterAskJack” t-shirts, each with a custom printed message about how Jack helped solve that person’s problem, every week to five randomly-chosen questioners. The conversation, and the fun, have grown with Jack, and JAY-K, at the center of attention.
