A proposition was created to solve a century-old dispute between landowners and the state in New York’s Adirondack Park. The parties had reached an agreement, unanimously approved by the state legislature and environmental groups, which only needed state-wide voter approval for passage. Supporters challenged us to capture the complex topic in a simple video, covering enough of the details for questioning voters, and striking just the right emotional chord to motivate them to approve it during an off-year election. We had one weekend to shoot, edit and distribute, and luckily even the animals in the Park cooperated. Prop 4 passed with flying colors.
